This article presents a study that observed religious Jewish feminists in Israel as they try to adapt the Jewish wedding ceremony to be more egalitarian. The author and conductor of the study outlines the steps taken and tools used by different brides to mine the tradition in order to change the marriage ritual in ways that lend more respect to women.
